With the participation of local authorities, producers, social organizations and with the support of the Government of Ireland, we carried out the socialization events of the EPINER project: Building Environmental Peace to Improve Nutrition and Reduce Emissions.
These spaces provided an opportunity to present the project’s approach and progress, listen to the territory’s priorities, and strengthen the alliances necessary to move forward together towards more sustainable, nutritious and peaceful food systems. They were meetings designed to build trust, initiate dialogue with local players and define joint strategies that respond to the realities of the Colombian Massif.
Alternatives such as silvopastoral systems, efficient use of forage, and the reduction of environmental impacts are addressed; with the purpose of moving towards livestock systems that are environmentally friendly with the territory, contribute to the reduction of emissions and strengthen rural livelihoods.
